Description:

As a member of a team, interns will record and identify a suite of predetermined invasive plants (guide provided) at intervals along roads throughout the Monument. Fieldwork will be overnight in remote locations (tent or cabin), however, outdoor activities are not expected to be extremely strenuous. The intern will be responsible for entering their field data in an office setting. The intern will most likely be helping with a variety of additional projects including youth camps, special events, and festivals.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Conduct an invasive plant monitoring survey
  • Accurately enter large volumes of data

Qualifications:

  • Valid Drivers License
  • Knowledge of how to care for yourself and others in the outdoors
  • Experience operating a 4-wheel drive truck
  • Comfortable working in remote areas with a small group of people
  • Capable of quickly adapting to changing plans and priorities
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
